January 3, 2015: Lincoln Park, IL. Let me start by saying that my absolute favorite type of food is Mexican. Tacos, tostadas, enchiladas, guacamole, carnitas, the list goes on forever! Whenever I find a new restaurant with all of my favorites I want to go back everyday, and Uncle Julio's is no exception. When I walked in I wasn't completely sold on the place, it was a little casual and the crowd was a little rowdy, but as soon as the "guacamole specialist" came by and started making the freshest guac I had ever tasted, I knew this was going to be my new hangout. I ordered the house tacos (plain, but a good way to tell if they know their stuff), and Brooke had the build your own fajitas that the restaurant is known for. I think I've already told 20 people that they need to try this place as soon as possible, everything was so delicious and I keep trying to think of more reasons to return!
